"DZB Reptiles is the combination of a passion for reptiles, and animals in general, along with the desire to create and maintain something that we as a family could be truly proud of". JP

We have always had a love and fascination for animals but snakes where something that I was afraid of. But that all changed one night when during a bad storm my husband Jeffrey caught a small Scarlet Kingsnake on the front porch. He wanted to keep it but I had my reservations. After a couple of weeks I became less afraid and more intrigued. Shortly after that Jeff bought two Boa Constrictors at a local pet store and so it began. From there we added a trio of Borneo Short-tailed Pythons to our new and growing collection. They still scare me. From there we got bit by the Ball Python bug while at Daytona in 2006. From the moment we saw that first Bumble Bee and then a Piebald we were hooked.

Our collection now consists of a little over 100 animals, mostly Ball Pythons but we are always looking for new and exciting animals to expand our collection. We have strived to acquire only the highest quality animals from some of the best known breeders in the industry as well as a few smaller breeders like ourselves. We are working with the most popular co-dominate, dominate and simple recessive morphs in the industry and are excited about creating some beautiful and exciting combinations. Maybe even something that has never been seen before.

2008 was our first year of actually breeding and producing Ball Pythons and what a year it was. We were able to produce several of the base morphs, both co-dominate and simple recessive, as well as a few of the double co-dominate projects we have worked so hard for. The upcoming 2009 season holds a lot of promise for us and the future of DZB Reptiles.

2009 will be a year that we will always remember, far exceeding our expectations. We were once again very successful with our breeding projects and were even lucky enough to hit the odds on our most anticipated project, the Caramel Spider, producing a beautiful pair of this brand new combination.

We also attended our first show as vendors in Daytona at the National Reptile Breeders Expo. We felt it was only fitting that we start with the show that started it off for us. We also attended the NARBC show in Tinely Park, Chicago as well as several local show here in Florida. We have meet some great people and made some amazing friendships that we hope will last a lifetime. We can't thank everyone who has supported us enough and can't wait to kick off the 2010 season.

2010 has been another great year for us. So far we have produced three new combinations for us. The first is a beautiful pair of Super Cinnamons. Second is a pair of Pastel Clowns and third is a trio of Enchi Mojaves (Mochi's). We were also lucky enough to again produce Caramel Spiders. We were also able to prove out an 09 Ivory male that we thought carried the Brite gene. Out of a six egg clutch we produced three Yellowbellies and three Yellowbelly Brites. Once again we attended the Reptile Expo in Daytona and had a great time. We are also looking forward to returning to Tinley Park in Chicago IL. We also had to make a tough decision about our collection. With the number of permanent animals in our Ball Python collection topping 200 we decided to sell the other species in the collection. We just felt that with the amount of time and resources going into the Ball Pythons that we should just focus our energy on what we consider to be our favorite animals to work with. So you will be seeing a few changes in the web site that reflects this decision. And as always we would like to thank everyone who bought animals from us. We hope that you are enjoying them as much as we have.
